Vertical Pelletizing Extruder (Laboratory-Scale)
Basket extruder for pilot-scale pellet production
The laboratory-scale vertical pelletizing extruder is designed for R&D environments and pilot-scale production. Compact, lightweight, and easy to operate, it efficiently transforms wet, cohesive mixtures of powders, excipients, and binders into uniform cylindrical extrudates. Material is fed by a rotating shaft feeder into the extrusion chamber, where it is compressed through a perforated die plate to form consistent, dense pellets.

- Continuous and efficient operation
Enables continuous feeding, extrusion, and shaping in one process, improving productivity and ensuring uniform output. - Uniform extrusion with high yield
Ensures consistent pressure distribution across materials, producing dense, evenly shaped extrudates with yields above 99%, minimizing material loss. - Low-temperature, friction-free extrusion
Utilizes a rotary extrusion mechanism rather than screw-based friction, preventing heat buildup during operation. Ideal for heat-sensitive materials such as pharmaceuticals or biological formulations. Unlike twin-screw extruders, it requires no cooling system, reduces energy consumption, and eliminates die plate cracking risks. - Stable and safe operation
Integrated overload protection ensures reliable performance and low operational noise (<45 dB), creating a safer and more comfortable working environment. - Flexible die configuration
Equipped with multiple die plate sizes (Ø0.4mm–3.0mm), capable of producing cylindrical extrudates from 0.5mm to 3.0mm, meeting both laboratory and small-scale production needs. - Compact and user-friendly design
The small footprint and simple control system make it ideal for laboratories, universities, and research institutes performing formulation trials and scale-up studies.
